There is an interesting article at Groklaw regarding an agreement between Microsoft and Novell with regards to Microsoft's Silverlight platform (Moonlight for Linux people). Seems that the author has read the contract and despite their ability to decipher legalese have found that the agreement is rife with ambiguities.

Novell Vice-President and open source pioneer Miguel de Icaza has spoken out regarding Novell's controversial agreement with Microsoft regarding patent indemnification. 

"I'm not happy about the fact that such an agreement was made, but [the decision] was above my pay grade; I think we should have stayed with the open-source community," de Icaza said.
